Edit: For some reason I am not sure of, I got an email Monday about this upcoming event, but April contacted me to let me know the event happened last year! Ugh… As expected, April was sweet and understanding. Clearly from her comment below she is planning upcoming shows. One in Atlanta and a possible one in Minneapolis in September.

For those who aren’t familiar with the lovely BBW April Flores, it’s time to step your game up. Proving that sex appeal also has to do with curves and exuding confidence and not simply unrealistic measurements, Flores continues to push people to redefine what they consider sexy.

Winner of the Heartthrob of the Year Award at this year’s Feminist Porn Awards, Flores can be seen in films like Live In My Secrets or Dangerous Curves. (Dangerous Curves has an amazing scene with Flores, Jiz Lee and Syd Blakovich. CBatts did a really great trailer for it.) But that’s not the only place you can see her.

Not only does April appear in adult videos, but she also graces the cover of magazines like Bizarre Magazine and AVN Magazine. She can also be found in other magazines, books,  radio and art galleries with work she has inspired. An upcoming art gallery show in Los Angeles highlighted the body of Flores in conjunction with the artwork of eight prominent, L.A. based artists. The artists used Topco Sales’ April Flores’ Voluptuous CyberSkin Love Toy as the canvas for their artistry.

Axis, Carlos Batts, COOP, Jim Mahfood, Kime Buzzelli, Kozy & Dan, Misha and Small Paul displayed their creations on May 13th 2009 at La Luz de Jesus Gallery, a show curated by Carlos Batts.

“When Topco Sales molded April to make her toy, we knew we were breaking new ground. Partnering with her and C. Batts FLY to present this exhibit seems like a natural next step,” says Desiree Duffie, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Topco Sales. “This show provides an inspired arena in which to play with such provocative issues as beauty, sexuality, intimacy, pleasure toys and more. I can’t wait to see each artist’s work.”
