Cecil Howard’s Scoundrels to Debut on HotMovies.com!

HotMovies.com worked out a super exclusive deal with acclaimed director Cecil Howard to release Scoundrels on the site for 28 days, starting June 22. Scoundrels received Hustler’s all time highest rating and AVN Awards for Best Director, Best Editing and the very first AVN Award for Best Film in 1984.

Ok, usually I don’t plug away at us because part of the game is to make everything seem very exclusive, very exciting. Create hype. But this is pretty incredible.

Why is this so big? Because after a not so successful endeavor releasing two of his titles on DVD, Cecil Howard decided he would rather not release his films on DVD. And these are classic titles from the golden age of pornography. HotMovies.com already has some titles live on VOD, but Scoundrels has been out of print for 20 years and will reappear exclusively with HotMovies.com as a limited time run.

With Cecil Howard directing and the script written by Anne Randall, the film stars Ron Jeremy along with Anna Turner, Ariel Lee, Copper Penny, Lisa B., Marilyn Gee, Sharon Mitchell, Tammy, Tess Mayo, Tiffany Clark, Tigr, Dave Ambrose, George Payne, R. Bolla, Ron Hudd, Sean Elliot and Cecil Howard himself in a non-sex role.

So as I was browsing our library of pornography, I realized that I had yet to do a title with the legendary Tera Patrick. While her ex-husband had been featured in Broken, I had yet to review a film with the lovely Tera Patrick. Sometimes I want to cover classic stars in their classic films, sometimes I avoid those because there are already umpteen reviews of a movie already out there, so my 2 cents doesn’t really mean spit. While Tera Goes Gonzo was a title that was nominated for 3 AVN Awards in 2009 (Best Gonzo Release, Best All-Girl 3-Way Sex Scene, Best Solo Sex Scene) and while it didn’t take home any awards, it also didn’t seem to get much press or many reviews. And it was an attempt at a little something different, tieing Tera in with the gonzo genre, bringing in one of the most recognizable names in gonzo, Ed Powers, and one of the biggest names in the business, even if it was only for non-sex roles. Her ex-husband spends time both behind and in front of the camera.
